Community lunch & learn

 Want to learn more about advocacy and community engagement but are short on time?

We invite you to grab your lunch and join us for our virtual lunch hour educational series.

We typically meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month (with the exception of Recovery Month). Sessions will occur over the lunch (noon) hour and cover a range of topics. Most sessions offer 1 hr of TCB approved CEU's for peers, LCDC's and many others in the substance use recovery workforce. ALL are welcome!

Join us on November 16th for a one hour preview of legislation that is being "pre-filed" (early bill filing) for the 88th legislative session. We will be joined by our friends Cynthia Humphreys (ASAP) and Sherri Layton (TAAP) to discuss new prevention, treatment and recovery bills that can effect our communities, workforce and organizations. October 2022: 10% Recovery Set Aside (Date Change)

Join us on Wednesday, October 19th for a very informative discussion on the

10% Recovery Set- Aside with special guest, Greg Williams.

According to SAMHSA (2021), there is no dedicated source of funding of community recovery resources. This funding set-aside would provide a sustainable source of funding directly to community organizations to support development of a community-level recovery infrastructure and will be available for a wide variety of recovery support programs. Greg is the award-winning filmmaker and producer of three feature length documentaries: The Anonymous People, Generation Found, and Tipping The Pain Scale.

Greg is a health policy consultant and communications specialist, providing strategic oversight and direction to numerous initiatives. He has over a decade of experience working with non-profits and government agencies on addiction. As person in long-term recovery, his work has been dedicated towards creating positive changes in access to quality health care and recovery supports for the over 40 million Americans with a substance use disorder.
