Substance use disorders do not discriminate, and the prevalence of substance use issues amongst Latino/a (Hispanic or Chicano/a) populations is similar to all other populations. However, there is a notable disparity in accessing services. To address this inequity, we need to understand why. This research study looks a number a variables that helps us understand the diversity of this large community, which is only a first step towards ensuring everyone who wants recovery has access to the types of services and supports that they need to reach their health and wellness goals.
