Research has shown that recovery housing is cost-effective in supporting persons in recovery from substance use issues. But why are there shortages if recovery housing is allegedly so profitable? Some recovery homes close within a year of opening, while others have been in operation since the 1950s. These are the types of questions that lead the Clean Cause Foundation and the Addiction Research Institute to research recovery housing sustainability, which is currently underway. Join us for the upcoming PROSPER webinar, where our special guests, Julie McElrath and Leah Davies with Clean Cause and Dr. Fiona Conway with the Addiction Research Institute at The University of Texas at Austin, Steve Hicks School of Social Work, talk about the importance of researching sustainability in recovery housing and other types of recovery support services.
