Voting in Texas with a Conviction
Once someone has "fully discharged" their sentence or has been pardoned, their right to vote is automatically restored in Texas. However, it is not always clear as to when a sentence has been fully completed. See the resources below for more information on voting in Texas with a felony conviction.

Here is a list of the acceptable forms of photo ID (find more info here):
- Texas Driver License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
- Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
- Texas Personal Identification Card issued by DPS
- Texas Handgun License issued by DPS
- United States Military Identification Card containing the person’s photograph
- United States Citizenship Certificate containing the person’s photograph
- United States Passport (book or card)
