With lived experience in substance use and mental health recovery, justice involvement, family recovery, and community outreach, Christine brings authenticity and a strong work ethic to the behavioral health space. Since 2019, she has organized El Paso’s first International Overdose Awareness Vigil, spoken at City Hall to advocate for recovery support services, helped establish two community recovery drop-in centers, and led statewide trainings for facilitators, peer specialists, and recovery housing managers.
Christine has supervised and mentored many peer support professionals, served on national recovery committees, and contributed to major statewide events, including the Big Texas Rally for Recovery, TAAP State Conference Peer Track planning committee, and the Peer Visioning Summit. Her superpower? Turning passion into meaningful, measurable impact.
Beyond her work, Christine is dedicated to personal development and enjoys expressing her creativity through art, music, and aroma healing. She’s also an adventurer at heart—whether sailing, hiking, stargazing, or reflecting on her time as a NASA Robotics intern.
Her personal motto, “Peer support for peer supporters,” reflects her deep commitment to mentoring, uplifting, and guiding the next generation of recovery leaders. With Christine on the front lines, the future of peer support in Texas—and beyond—looks incredibly bright.
