RecoveryPeople Welcomes New Board Members

Join RecoveryPeople in welcoming four new board members. RecoveryPeople is a nonprofit that engages, educates and empowers a network of interconnected stakeholders within the recovery community to promote recovery from substance use and related mental health challenges. RecoveryPeople advocates for consumers, coordinates workforce development and incubates service provider best practices. 

Our new board members bring a wealth of experience, talents and diversity, which will help guide RecoveryPeople’s future:

  • Monica Sanchez is an ally of recovery from the Rio Grande Valley who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has extensive advocacy, nonprofit and fundraising experience.  
  • Keith Montgomery is a person in long term recovery from mental health and substance use issues living in Austin, Texas who is a Masters Addiction Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Michael Hendrix is a person in long term recovery living in Austin, Texas with extensive experience in government and media relations as well as nonprofit and fundraising experience. 
  • Gray Borchering is a person in long term recovery living in Dallas, Texas with extensive business development and management experience in both small business and Fortune 500 companies.
