Minimum Education

Master’s Degree in behavioral health, peer support, recovery services, related fields, or equivalent experience preferred

Credential Requirements

• Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS), Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), or Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC MN/ADCR-MN), or other state recognized credential in addiction counseling or peer recovery services required
• Motivational Interviewing trainer certification preferred

Minimum Experience

• 5 years of experience working directly with individuals in recovery settings or in peer-recovery roles
• Lived experience of recovery from substance-use disorder preferred, equivalent work experience and/or formal education in recovery or behavioral health fields will be considered
• Strong background in recovery work, including peer-support, an understanding of the addiction care continuum, and the variety of sites and settings within the continuum
• Experience collecting and analyzing participant outcome data, using data and research to improve participant outcomes
• Experience facilitating adult learners through training, coaching, supervision, and observation
• Experience creating and delivering training and evaluating its effectiveness
• Demonstrated leadership skills, characterized by proactive communication, the ability to build investment, delegate tasks, and positively influence others
• Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills, including ability to structure tasks, establish priorities, and meet deadlines independently
• Strong analytical skills and commitment to data-based decision-making: in-depth experience managing complex sets of data and developing effective metrics to predict and identify trends, patterns, efficiencies, and effectiveness of Ampact programs

• Travel locally and statewide as needed to attend meetings

Executive leadership experience in a relevant organization, with a proven track record of setting
and realizing outcomes-oriented objectives in collaboration with engaged stakeholders and
dedicated staff
● Ability to represent an organization on a local, regional, and national scale; experience forging
partnerships with individuals, organizations, corporations, and government officials
● Experience securing financial resources/support for an organization
● Strong financial acumen and business orientation
● Experience implementing principles of continuous quality improvement and operational excellence
● Willingness to develop knowledge of relevant state and federal laws/standards; experience in an
industry with compliance/rules/regulations
Experience – Preferred
● Experience working in social services, education, and/or healthcare
● Personal knowledge of recovery and/or recovery processes
Education
● Bachelor’s degree required
● Master’s degree or higher in relevant subject area preferred

• Must have at least 2 years in recovery
• Passion for helping others in their recovery journey

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Computer skills essential, including comfort with data entry and electronic record systems.
Active MHPS (Mental Health Peer Specialist) or RSPS (Recovery Support Peer Specialist)
certification from TCBAP required (candidates near completion may be considered).
PRS candidates ideally have lived experience in recovery from substance use, with 3+ years of
sustained recovery.
Prior experience working with clients experiencing homelessness strongly preferred.
Lived experience with recovery from homelessness strongly preferred.
Must hold a valid Texas driver’s license with a safe driving record over the past 3 years (required
for community work).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to travel to scattered-site housing and provide community-based support.
Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and computer work.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
