Our work focuses on key areas we believe are central to a successful community of recovery resources: 1) Normalizing Recovery ; 2) Protecting People in Recovery; 3) Strengthening The Recovery Profession and Field; and 4) Expanding Access and Opportunity for People in Recovery.

 

Our Peer-to-Career program enhances the recruitment and retention of peer workers certified peer specialists in the recovery workforce and increases access to peer support services for individuals impacted by the opioid crisis in Texas. A key to this program’s success is our ability to leverage technology, such as a learning management systems platform, to support asynchronous and synchronous education and to streamline processes.

Position Summary:

 

The Learning Management Specialist is a technologist that is able to support and communicate with individuals who may be less tech savvy, such as fellow staff members and Peer-to-Career students, instructors, supervisors and employers. Weekly activities include:

  1. Expanding RecoveryPeople’s website as a resource hub for students, instructors, supervisors and employers engaged in our Peer-to-Career programming

  2. Managing RecoveryPeople’s Learning Management System supporting online and hybrid learning experiences and certifications.

  3. Working closely with our WordPress Administrator and SalesForce Administrator to ensure systems’ security, process, functionality and data management are working properly.

  4. Supporting the design, delivery, tracking, and reporting of Peer-to-Career program activities

The ideal candidate is technically skilled, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping learners and trainers navigate online learning tools efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Online Resource Hub

  • Upload and manage content

  • Support user access, management and technical assistance

  • Monitor user engagement and report performance data.

 

Learning Management System

  • Configure, manage, and maintain the online learning management platform.

  • Manage and support LMS users, permissions, and access levels.

  • Provide technical support to learners, instructors, and internal teams.

  • Troubleshoot related issues

  • Works closely team member to optimize program performance

Collaboration & Optimization

  • Collaborate the WordPress Administrator and the SalesForce Administrator to optimize program performance

  • Support the development and quality assurance of system features and functionality. Evaluate new features and recommend enhancements.

  • Support cross system integrations

 

Reporting & Data Management

  • Develop and monitor performance reports and dashboards

  • Support data management, reporting and compliance

  • Analyze trends and recommend enhancements.

 

Other:

  • Receive constructive feedback with grace, using it to iterate and improve

  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

 

  • Reliable access to high-speed internet

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and collaborative.

  • Ability to thrive in a remote / home office working environment

  • Proficient using web-based technology (e.g., Google Suite, Zoom, Salesforce, etc…)

  • Experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS), WordPress website or similar online platform.

  • Experience providing tech troubleshooting.

  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to periodically travel. Valid drivers license.

 

Preferred:

  • Publicly identify as a person in long-term / sustained recovery

  • Technology certifications

  • Proven ability to work remotely

  • Salary: Commensurate with experience ( $60,000 to $65,000). Healthcare insurance stipend.
