A Night to Remember: HUMANLY POSSIBLE Episode 1 Premier Draws a Crowd in Celebration of National Recovery Month
On September 19, 2024, over 150 community members gathered for the premier screening of the inspiring documentary HUMANLY POSSIBLE. Held the Dell Jewish Community Center in Austin, Texas, the event brought together individuals passionate about human spirit’s ability to overcome substance use and in turn shape the history of recovery for others. Thank you Jess Van Norman and Shalom Austin for your help coordinating the venue.
The evening buzzed with energy as attendees listened to music by J.D. Torian, mingled over delicious mocktails from Sans Bar and hors d’oeuvres from Flavor Catering and, bid on silent auction items, visited sponsor display tables, captured memories at the photobooth. Head over to our HUMANLY POSSIBLE Media Center to browse photos from the event.
A special thanks goes to Thriving Botanicals, Gilded in Bloom and Jonika Nix for their floral design and sponsorships.
Before and after the screening, guests explored sponsor booths from a variety of partners who support the causes highlighted in Humanly Possible. These booths provided interactive displays, educational materials, and chances to connect with organizations working to make real-world impact.
The turnout exceeded expectations thanks to our promotional partners John Pomykal and Wally Crittenden with Modern Sports Group and Lisa Spence with Love Advertising.
The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive thanks to the Event Coordinator, Jill Benton, and her team from Starbucks. Many left feeling moved, motivated, and eager to take action in their own communities.
We extend our deepest thanks to everyone who attended, our generous sponsors, and the volunteers who made this unforgettable night possible.
Stay tuned for future events—we’re just getting started.
