Course Description:
This training provides an introduction to person-centered, strengths-based documentation in peer support practice. Participants will explore how documentation can reflect the core values of peer work, including mutuality, respect, and the honoring of lived experience. The session will emphasize capturing interactions in a way that reflects the relationship, centers the individual’s voice, and highlights strengths. Participants will also review basic documentation expectations and learn how to balance these requirements with ethical integrity and role clarity. Through discussion and practical examples, this training supports peer specialists in developing documentation practices that are both compliant and aligned with recovery-oriented principles.
