Course Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize and appreciate the critical importance of maintaining ethical boundaries within the practice of peer support.
  • Accurately identify and apply the ethical code as outlines by the Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals in the context of peer support work.
  • Define and identify dual relationships, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, privacy, accountability, and the need for informed consent.
