The Texas Association of Addiction Professionals (TAAP) will hold its first ever CAREER FAIR/HALL OF OPPORTUNITY during its annual State Conference Sept 4 – 6, 2025. Your organization is invited to participate.
TAAP’s State Conference is long-established and we anticipate gathering nearly 800 attendees, along with numerous sponsors for a celebration of learning and networking. You will have the opportunity to showcase materials and engage directly with attendees about job openings in your organization. For full conference info – TAAP State Conference
As a SUD prevention/treatment/recovery program employer you will have the opportunity to promote job openings at your facility and will have space to conduct face-to-face interviews if you choose.
We encourage you to have a mechanism for onsite job applications to be completed, and interviews if that is your desire.
The CAREER FAIR/HALL OF OPPORTUNITY is a new event for the conference. Our goal Is to provide specific space for guidance, resources, and opportunities for employment. Target audience is
individuals starting, pursuing, advancing, or exploring a career in the addiction profession as counselors, peers, leaders, and justice workers.

This Saturday AM event is not a marketing venue but a Job Fair/Career Fair
If you are already a conference exhibitor or sponsor, we encourage you to stay over for this Saturday AM event. Perhaps representatives from your HR department would replace/join your conference reps. Keep your table intact from the conference but add job opportunity material.
If you are not already exhibiting or sponsoring, join us Saturday AM for this specific event. An exhibit table and tablecloth will be provided. We encourage you to “dress up” your table a bit with a logo tablecloth and/or other facility materials.
All JOB FAIR organizations should –

Have a representative on hand to discuss your job openings

Provide hard copy of job applications or some means for attendees to access an electronic application

Include some type of posting/sign indicating jobs you currently have open
For those employers who have LCDC Intern opportunities available, we encourage you to highlight those.
The CAREER FAIR/HALL OF OPPORTUNITY, in addition to the JOB FAIR, will bring together academic programs, and resources available for individuals seeking LCDC licensure or looking to further their education through Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral studies. We have also invited representatives from financial aid organizations that can assist attendees on their educational journeys. The JOB FAIR will give employers access to those already interested/experienced in the SUD field.
