About This Training

Recovery-ready workplaces can support employees with care while still maintaining clear and consistent workplace expectations. When support, accountability, and workplace responsibilities are not clearly defined, supervisors may unintentionally avoid concerns, respond inconsistently, or take on responsibilities that do not belong to them.

This training introduces a care, clarity, and boundaries framework for responding to employee needs, conduct concerns, and performance problems. Participants will examine the difference between appropriate workplace support and rescuing and explore how observable facts, clear expectations, documentation, and follow-through contribute to fair and effective supervision.

Through discussion, reflection, and practical scenarios, participants will apply the framework to common supervisory concerns in the peer workforce.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the responsibilities of a recovery-ready workplace when responding to employee needs, conduct concerns, and performance problems.
  • Distinguish appropriate workplace support from rescuing, avoidance, or inconsistent expectations.
  • Apply a care, clarity, and boundaries framework to common supervisory concerns in the peer workforce.
  • Develop a response that includes clear expectations, appropriate support, documentation, and follow-through.
