About This Training
Peer support spaces are shaped by more than the information being shared. Communication patterns, group culture, power, relationships, and expectations all influence whether people feel able to participate honestly and meaningfully.
This training explores the characteristics of brave, participation-centered peer spaces. Participants will examine the difference between dialogue and debate and consider how urgency, perfectionism, power, and other cultural patterns can affect participation and group dynamics.
Through reflection, discussion, and practical application, participants will explore facilitation approaches that support inclusion, shared leadership, honest conversation, and meaningful participation. The training also introduces language for reframing and redirecting difficult moments without disconnecting people from the group.
